Return To Slender

Losing weight is a lot like driving a car.  In order to get results, you need to concentrate on where you want to go.  Focusing on what you don’t want–”I don’t want to be fat”–isn’t going to work.  That’s like staring intently at the curb and saying, “I don’t want to drive there.”  Next thing you know, your fender’s wrapped around a light post.  To get what you want, focus on what you want!  Picture it vividly, as if you’ve already achieved it.  Say it out loud.  Writ it down.  Be positive, be specific, and speak in terms of “now, and not in terms of some vague hope for the future.  “I’m too fat.  I need to lose weight,” isn’t nearly as effective as saying, “I’m in the process of losing five pounds of fat this month.  I’m a svelte, sexy, sculpted hottie!”  (Well, that’s a little over the top, but you get our drift.)  This positive affirmation gives your goal clarity, focus, and a deadline–the quickest and surest way to get from point A to point B.
